May 14, 2009 — ATAC Resources Ltd. (“ATAC”) (TSX-V:ATC) announces that it has staked two new claim blocks and has expanded its Touleary property, to substantially increase its land holdings in an emerging gold district. The Klondike-Dawson Range area of the Yukon has long been known as a prolific placer gold producer. Underworld Resources Ltd. recently announced a significant hard rock gold discovery in this area at its White Gold property (See Underworld news release dated November 24, 2008 for additional information).
Through its recent staking, ATAC now holds seven properties totalling 114 sq/km in the Klondike-Dawson Range. The newly staked ground was acquired based on proprietary geochemical data and ATAC’s previous knowledge of the area. In early June 2009, ATAC will begin an extensive exploration program on all its properties in the Klondike-Dawson Range. A particular focus will be on those ATAC properties that directly adjoin Underworld’s White Gold property.
An updated map showing ATAC’s properties in the Klondike-Dawson Range has been added to the “Properties Available for Option” section of the ATAC website (www.atacresources.com).
ATAC is a well funded junior mining company focusing on gold. Its business model entails acquiring quality prospects, upgrading them to advanced stage exploration and then attracting strong partners to move them toward production.
